Central Connecticut is the fourth seed in the Auburn Regional, and here is a deep dive on the Blue Devils ahead of their matchup with No. 1 Auburn on Friday.

Central Connecticut State finished the 2025 season with a 31-15 overall record and a 23-7 record in the Northeast conference. Central Connecticut enters the Auburn regional as the NEC Conference Champions, beating LIU twice to win it.

Pitching Staff

Unfortunately Redahan is a senior, so I don't think he'll have eligibility left after this season.

Either their hitting coach is a savant, they played a bunch of crappy pitching, or some combination of the two. Their 8th best hitter is hitting .329. That's wild.

Agreed, I don't think I've seen a team with that efficient of a hitting order. Looking at the stats from other pitchers in the NEC, the best ERA was a 3.49, and the 2nd and 3rd was a 4.09 and a 4.10, which is average at best.

Leaning towards more of the reason that their roster doesn't include a bunch of P5 transfers. Looks like a bunch of local CT guys. Impressive.

I coached little league though middle school up there when I lived in CT from 2010-15. The baseball is pretty damn good and they take it seriously.

It's very old fashioned America up there especially eastern CT all the way up to Boston
