RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men’s basketball head coach Will Wade announced Wednesday that Jerry Deng has signed and will join the Wolfpack Basketball Program next season.

2024-25 Sophomore Season (at Florida State): Appeared in 31 games, making two starts … Averaged 7.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game … Shot 37.0 percent from three-point range … Ranked second on the team with 44 made three-pointers … Scored in double figures in 10 games, including four of the last five of the season … Had season-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range on Feb. 24 against North Carolina … Had 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting at Clemson on Jan. 11 … Scored 12 points, making 3-of-5 three-point attempts at Duke on March 1.
2023-24 Freshman Season (at Hampton): Appeared in 33 games, making 11 starts … Averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game … Made 43 three-pointers and shot 39.1 percent from three-point range … Shot 46.0 percent overall from the field and was 79.7 percent at the foul line … Scored in double figures 16 times, including two games over 20 points and one game over 30 points … Scored a season-high 37 points against Mary Baldwin on Dec. 11 … Was 15-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-6 from three-point range … Scored 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting against Howard on Feb. 3 … Pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds at North Carolina A&T on Feb. 1.
High School: Attended Norcross High School in Ga … Led Norcross to Georgia Class 7A State Championship … Scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had two blocks in state championship game win … Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State Honorable Mention selection and Atlanta Tipoff Club All-Metro Team pick as a senior … All-Region 7-AAAAAAA Team honoree … Gwinnett Daily Post All-County and Gwinnett Tipoff Club All-County selection outstanding during senior season … Played with the Georgia Stars on the EYBL circuit.
Wade on Deng: “Jerry is a tall and long forward that is going to be a really good player in our system. He’s a highly-skilled off-ball player that has strong catch-and-shoot ability and will do a great job helping us space the floor offensively. He’s a high energy player that has good instincts for how to play the game and I think he will do a great job in our program.”
