PORTAL COMMIT: Texas Tech EDGE Joseph Adedire Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment out of the transfer portal from Texas Tech EDGE defender Joseph Adedire.

At 6’3 and 265 pounds, the Mansfield, Texas, native appeared in 12 of 13 games for the Red Raiders as a sophomore in 2023, including 8 starts. He finished that season with 25 tackles overall, including 4 TFLs and 1 sack.

Adedire also started six games as a true freshman, registering his first career tackle at NC State on September 17, 2022. During that year, Adedire racked up 19 tackles, including 3.5 TFLs and 1 sack, and all but that tackle against NC State came against Big 12 competition. Adedire earned honorable mention All-Big 12 for his rookie campaign.

A huge pickup at a position of need, Adedire is fully healthy following a preseason injury that forced him to miss the 2024 season and is expected to play a major role for the Wolfpack in 2025.
