NC State has earned the No. 9 seed in the Midwest Regional.  The Wolfpack will open the 2018 NCAA Tournament against No. 8 seed Seton Hall.

Kevin Keatts has exceeded expectations in his first season as head coach at NC State.  The Wolfpack finished tied for third place in the ACC (11-7) and totaled 21 regular season wins, which ties Keatts with legendary coach Everett Case for the most wins in the regular season in first season as head coach.

NC State is led by third-team All-ACC pick Omer Yurtseven and honorable mention selections Al Freeman and Markell Johnson.

Omer Yurtseven averaged 13.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in the regular season. He ranks 11th in the ACC in rebounding and eighth in blocked shots. He has also connected on 58.0 percent of his field goal attempts. He finished the regular season third in the ACC in field goal percentage and is on pace for the highest field goal percentage at NC State since TJ Warren shot 62.2 percent from the field in the 2012-13 season.

Allerik Freeman has led the Wolfpack in scoring in each of the last seven games, and that consistency has been huge.  Markell Johnson leads the ACC in assists per game (7.4) and is shooting over 40% from 3-point range.

NC State has several quality wins this year with victories over Arizona, North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, Louisville, Penn State, and Florida State among others.
