Ja'Quan Sheppard is just now starting to learn about NC State. Sometimes that's how it goes with young football recruits and schools that offer out of nowhere. Sheppard did not have a relationship with anyone on the Wolfpack coaching staff before he was offered by State.
That offer went out last month and Sheppard said it was a complete surprise but a good one.
It happened on a Friday.
