Freshman Vince Robinson Is A National Champion

NC State redshirt freshman Vince Robinson just won the national title in the 125-pound division of the NCAA Tournament.

The No. 4 seed in the tournament, Robinson defeated No. 7 Troy Spratley (Oklahoma State) 2-1 to capture the title.

Robinson is the first lightweight to ever win a national title for the Wolfpack.  The last lightweight to reach a championship match was Michael Stokes at 126 pounds in 1989.

His title is the program’s first individual since 197-pounder Michael Machiavello won the title in 2018.
