NC State wide receiver Noah Rogers recently met with the media to discuss spring practice, the Wolfpack's offense, and much more.

How have the first, however, three, four practices gone?
Yeah, we're on our fourth practice, and I mean, it's just going by fast already. Just to say you are already back in spring ball and getting better. And I'm just so thankful to come out here every day and just win the day. And there's a lot of great things that we're putting on film. And one thing, especially for me and my group, is being the best group on the team.
How much different is this year for you, having the year with NC State, having the year with your role last year coming into this season?
Yeah, for the first two years, redshirting and then coming in as a redshirt freshman, I got a little sloshed from being a young guy. But now it's, I don't have room for errors nowadays. So it's like every day I have to make sure I'm exactly intentional. So I'm completing my daily goals.
What's your vision for how you think you'll get used this year?
Really, as much as I can. But right now, I really look at two forwards in the season. I'm just showing, continuing to show the coaches out here in practice every day that I'm a guy that you have to use this year. And a guy who can help the team win a lot of games.
How much different has this offense been so far, with Coach Roper?
It's been a lot different. He preaches us to play fast and know what you're doing. Never knowing too much information. His offense, it does fit me well. I feel like I can be using different sets and formations inside and outside. And as right now, I mean, I feel like I fit in well.
CJ said last week that he feels like having the QB coach also be the OC, helps with kind of continuity and knowing what needs to happen. Everyone is on the same page. Have you seen that translate to what you're doing away from the ball?
Yeah, I most definitely have because looking at it from the QB standpoint, he's telling his QB this and that. And I'm pretty sure Joker and Roper have convos of telling each other the same thing so everybody's on the same page. And just having the OC that is very vocal and wants to lead as if he's playing, that's something we're looking for. Cuz he's just challenging us and pushing us. And there's nothing better than going out there and showing your offensive coordinator what you can do. So he sits back to cut the film, but yeah, we use that guy to do it.
What's it like having CJ up there as the guy in the spring?
This is like what, the first year, like three years, they had a quarterback return. So I mean, I just don't believe, there's no doubt that CJ is gonna take this university to another level.
What is your relationship like with him and how much did it grow down the stretch last year?
It grew a lot. I mean, we both came in at the same time, got comfortable here and got ourselves in. Now it's kind of the older guys, the offense, and we had an experience last year. So it's like, it grows tremendously because we're trying to show each other how to lead together, and you can't just lead as one, so.
