Hicks To Transfer

A school official has confirmed that NC State sophomore forward Darius Hicks is transferring out of the program.

Hicks played in four games this season before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He averaged 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game.

Interesting timing. Assuming Yurt is still planning to go pro at season's end, that gives us an extra scholarship for next year. Wonder if we are closing in on someone.

I hope not. Love his defense.

But I also can't see anyone else on the roster being unhappy with playing time.

Next year's roster will be so deep. Everyone will have to fight for playing time. The practices alone will force the team to better. Keats will be throwing wave after wave of energy and talent at the opposing teams next year.
