RALEIGH, N.C. – Zoe Brooks of the NC State women’s basketball team was tabbed the Associated Press National Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday. Brooks was also named ACC Player of the Week on Monday.

Brooks was huge in the Pack knocking off back-to-back ranked opponents. The sophomore averaged 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block per game across the Pack’s two wins.

The New Jersey native started the week with tying a game-high 17 points off 7-of-15 shooting from the field with five rebounds, two assists and two steals at No. 20/20 Georgia Tech. Brooks followed that up with a double-double behind a career-high 33 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal against No. 1/1 Notre Dame in the Pack’s double-overtime feat. Her 33 points was her first 30-point game and was the most scored by a member of the Pack against a No. 1 opponent in 25 years.

Brooks was an impeccable 14-of-14 from the free throw line. Her 14 free throws against the Irish is tied for the sixth most made in a single game in school history and the first time a Wolfpack player has shot 100 percent from the line in a game (with more than 10 attempts) since Elissa Cunane in 2020 (vs. Virginia, 1/5/20). Brooks also played 47.5 of the 50 minutes in that double overtime contest.

This marks Brooks second national honor of her career after being tabbed USBWA Freshman of the Week last season.

The Pack will host Wake Forest for Senior Day on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. The game will be aired on ACC Network Extra.
