Jayden Taylor

“We came out and started with a lot of energy. We tried to get the win and end our losing streak. We had to get this one, especially with our old guys in here.”

“We know we have to get out of the bottom three to make the ACC Tournament. We’re the reigning champs, so it wouldn’t feel right to not be in the tournament because we won it last year. We know what’s at stake.”

“It feels amazing. Winning kills everything negative.”

Dennis Parker, Jr.

“It felt amazing. We haven’t walked off the court with a smile on our faces in a minute. Stuff like that, that’s how we build momentum to finish the season. It’s great for the team.”

“That’ll do the team a big favor. Everybody has to play their part. If I do what I can, that can factor and help us win as a team. That’s what I’m going to lock in on during these last games.”

“You’ve got to stay locked in and never stop working on your game. Stuff happens. It’s basketball at the collegiate level. You always stay ready and stay prepared. You never know when your name is going to get called. When you get in, you have to take advantage of your opportunities.”

Dontrez Styles

“It’s exciting. We’re looking forward to going out there and competing every game.”

“They’re pretty small, and we’re medium-sized. It’s going to be a fun matchup. They have a good team, and we have a good team, so it’s going to be a fun battle.”

“It’s great knowing the next game is going to be a big one for us. It’s a rivalry, and we’ve got to have it. We’ll prepare this week in practice and get ready for it.”

Brandon Huntley-Hatfield

“It’s amazing. We wanted to bring a lot of high energy. We’ve been down the last nine games, and so we were trying to turn it around.”

“We’ve got to find a way to win games and find a way to finish.”

“A lot of games that we’re losing, we’re getting hit first, or we’re getting hit in the second half. We had to keep applying pressure for the whole 40 minutes and live with the result.”
