COMMIT ALERT: NC State Lands Georgia State Safety JJ Johnson

NC State has landed a commitment out of the transfer portal from Georgia State safety JJ Johnson, who confirmed the commitment with Inside Pack Sports.

 Johnson chose NC State after receiving offers from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and others.

Standing at 5’11 and 195lbs, Johnson was a 3-year starter for the Panthers. Johnson also spent two years at the JUCO level, and has one year of eligibility remaining.

Johnson has 164 career tackles and 2 interceptions, and tallied 6 pass breakups in 2024. Johnson was All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention in 2023.
