COMMIT ALERT: Temple DB Jamel Johnson Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment out of the transfer portal from Temple defensive back Jamel Johnson, he confirmed the news Monday morning with Inside Pack Sports.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder began his career at Charleston Southern, where he earned second-team All-Big South honors as a freshman. In 2024, Johnson transferred to Temple after two years at Charleston Southern.

Johnson started all 12 games at cornerback for the Owls in 2024, totaling 44 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 4 pass breakups to earn CFN All-AAC Third Team Honors.

Johnson fills an immediate need for the Wolfpack after four secondary players entered their names into the transfer portal.

Johnson has one year of eligibility remaining.
