COMMIT ALERT: Temple EDGE Tra Thomas Picks NC State

Temple transfer linebacker/EDGE defender Tra Thomas has committed to NC State after taking a visit to Raleigh on January 3.  He confirmed the decision with Inside Pack Sports.

Listed at 6'4 and 230 lbs, Thomas profiles as a SAM backer for NC State, and they like him as a pass rusher they can move around the front. Thomas played for NC State’s new defensive coordinator, DJ Eliot, for one year while at Temple (2022).

In three years at Temple, Thomas totaled 72 tackles (28 solo), 8 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR, and 1 INT.

Thomas has one year of eligibility remaining, but is keeping an eye on the new JUCO rule to add a second.
