PORTAL COMMITMENT: OT Teague Andersen Commits To NC State
NC State entered the first transfer portal window knowing it needed to shore up its offensive line, and they’ve taken a big step in that direction by landing Utah State transfer tackle Teague Andersen, who just announced his intentions to join the Wolfpack.
After redshirting his freshman year, Andersen started 18 games over two seasons for the Aggies, including 11 in 2024. Andersen has game experience at both tackle spots and at center.
At 6’5 and 305 pounds, Andersen leaves a prolific Utah State attack to join Robert Anae’s offense in Raleigh. In 2024, the Aggies ranked 7th nationally in total offense (468.3 YPG), 22nd in rushing yards per game (199.3 YPG), and 23rd in passing yards per game (269.08 YPG). Utah State was 1st in the Mountain West in points per game (38.4), total offense (503.5 YPG), and offensive touchdowns (36).
For Andersen, the change comes after several tumultuous months in Logan. In July, head football coach Blake Anderson was fired and was replaced with interim head coach Nate Dreiling. Utah State, despite its offensive firepower, finished the season at 4-8.
Andersen is the son of Jason Andersen, who played four years in the NFL (1998-2001) at center.
Andersen, who chose NC State after visits to Penn State, Houston, MIssouri, and Kansas State, has two years of eligibility remaining.
Inside Pack Sports will have much more on Andersen’s decision in the near future!
