“I thought we did some really good things. You look at the two halves, I thought early on we didn’t get back in transition and they jumped out to a nice lead. We fought and cut into that lead.”
“In the second half they did a good job of going inside and playing through their big guy.”
“I thought the difference in the game was we got out-rebounded by 10. We have to do a better job of rebounding the basketball.”
“They got to the free throw line a lot more than us. That’s the difference in the game and we have to do a much better job of it.”
“In the second half we got a little extended defensively and gave up some easy shots. I didn’t think our helpside defense was very good, all things we can work on and do better.”
“We played against a very good Purdue team and was right there. Obviously we have to clean up some things and move forward.”
“I thought guys had moments. Brandon had some good moments. Trey Parker had some good moments. I didn’t think Marcus Hill or Dontrez Styles really ever got going so we were limited in our perimeter scoring. I didn’t think either one of those guys who we relied on early really had great games. Now some of that could have been what Purdue was doing against them, but we have to find different ways when you have one or two of your scorers not playing well.”
“I thought we got some great looks. I thought Trez particular had some great looks, they just didn’t go down for him.”
“It’s a game we can grow from, a game we can learn from. I hate losing, but it’s one of those things we can clean up some things and get better.”
“We did some good things. We have to grow from it... I thought defensively in the second half we weren’t as locked in as the first and we gave them spurts.”
“There are opportunities for us to get better in a lot of areas.”
