WATCH: Street Believes It All Starts In The Trenches

NC State senior defensive end Kentavius Street understands there are huge expectations for the Wolfpack's defensive front heading into the 2017 season.

I don’t think it’s so much of a pressure, I would say it’s just us accepting our role now.  We’re not little pups anymore, we’re the big dogs on our team. We’re going into that role, and with that role comes a lot of responsibility. 

So I would say instead of being a pressure it’s more of a responsibility.

Do you like that everybody is looking to you guys first, as far as, everything defensively starts with what you guys can do up front, and people are talking about you not just locally but nationally?

I think it’s right.

I feel like the D-line and also the offensive line should be looked to first as the fundamental, the “concrete” for a team.

I feel like that’s only right, because everything starts in the trenches.

How much has experience helped, with what you guys have built over time, guys that have played and grown and physically matured a lot together on the line?

I think it’s the most important thing.  From chemistry to the speed of the game slowing down, I think that’s the biggest thing that sets us apart.

We’ve grown up, we’ve learned from each other.  I think that’s what makes us really unique.
