If he feels time running out on his collegiate career…
Yeah, man. You look at it, and it's really like 11 days left of practice and playing the game. It is running out, and it's quick, too. The closer we get to it, the faster it goes. Man, it's kind of sad, but it's a happy one. I enjoy myself here, and I don't regret anything at all.
On how the ticking clock impacts his performance…
It affects a lot. Honestly, I just want to play my best ball. I want to give this team everything I've got in my last two games, everything in me. I've been here since 2020, and it's only right I go out with a bang. It’s only right I go out playing my best ball with my best effort for the whole game in the last two.
On the sense of urgency within the team to clinch a bowl berth…
We know the job. We know what we've got to get done. You can see it in practice. Everyone’s taking that seriously, despite everything that happened this season. You could just tell from the boys that we know we’ve got to win. It's there, so there are no worries there. We’ll get there.
On the challenges Georgia Tech’s offense present…
I don't think any challenge, honestly, in the most respectful way. Everything they do, we've seen before. It's all copycat from what other teams did and other players that teams had success on. Like I said, it's not really a challenge. It’s stuff we've seen before.
If there’s an added difficulty with the Yellow Jackets potentially utilizing two quarterbacks…
No. Just like any other team, we prepare for both. If it's a situation like that, we'll prepare for both. Whatever they give us, we just play off of it. Whoever starts first, hit them in the mouth. Whoever comes in second, hit them in the mouth. It’s the same mentality.
On seeing the younger players develop…
It's good because, in the most humblest way, it reminds me of myself as a young guy. I got to play early my freshman year. I was a true freshman; I never used a redshirt or anything. It's like seeing myself again with Zane [Williams], Kelvon [McBride], Cannon [Lewis], and Kamal [Bonner]. It's like seeing myself again, like I said, in the most humblest way. I got to play early my freshman year, thank God. I’m just happy for them, and I just hope they keep working and getting things right for next year.
