Ben Middlebrooks
“We did a good job going against their bigs. Brandon [Huntley-Hatfield] and I had a tough matchup. […] Most teams aren’t as deep in the front court as we are. We’re going to wear down almost everybody. When you get worn down, teams start failing, and we were able to knock them down.”
“It was huge. Like I said, when we have both of us in there, we can score really at any time and expose a lot of different matchups. Brandon especially is a very good passer out of the post. Drawing [double-teams], throwing it out, and knocking down shots are huge to get our offense going.”
“100 percent, our depth is always going to show with all of these guys coming off the bench, not just the starting five. They can do a lot of different things. Obviously, Ish [Diouf] is hurt right now, but he’s another huge asset to the team. Trey Parker’s going to come out here. Dennis Parker is getting into the mix. We have a lot of guys that can do a lot of things that people haven’t seen yet."
Dontrez Styles
“For sure. Against Lees-McRae, it was a battle. Each and every game, we come in with the mindset that every team’s going to give their best to try and beat us. We have to come out here, play hard, and compete. That’s what we’ve been doing, and we’ll continue to do that.”
“It was a very good win for us. It’s a good confidence booster. We’ve got a tough couple of games coming up soon, and it’s going to prepare us for those type of games.”
“I’m just trying to impact the game in all kinds of ways. [Rebounding] was my main focus for tonight. I was able to impact on the defensive side of the ball and the offensive side of the ball.”
“I take a lot of pride in [getting defensive boards]. That’s one thing I do very well, and I’m going to continue to get better doing it."
