On the development of NC State's freshmen over the past few weeks:

Energetic. Just like a sponge. They are soaking up everything right now. We are doing a lot right now. The big games are coming soon, on November 10th, so they have got to get ready. I think they are handling it very well. Zamareya Jones is going to be a sight to see this year, so yeah, I think they are ready.

What does Jones do so well?

The transition from high school to college is very different, but I think she is handling it very well. She is scoring very well. Coach [Wes] Moore's defense is very hard to learn, so I think she is maintaining that focus and she is starting to get to things.

Is Jones hard to guard?

Yes, but I think it is on both sides. We are both competitors. She makes me better and I make her better. That's what it is all about at the end of the day.

How much has Zoe Brooks grown since last season?

She has grown a lot. She knows that it is not her freshman year, it is not the first game anymore and what comes with it, it is time for [her] to be the next leader and to lead the freshmen as well.

What is your role on the team?

Just being more vocal. In the locker room, making sure I am talking into my teammates' ears and making sure I am keeping their heads up. Making sure they stay humble and make sure we are buying into the little things that Coach Moore is saying and getting the job done.
