On facing Louisiana Tech this weekend…
I'm just gonna be me. Go out there and play hard like I always do. And that's it, just continue to play hard.

Is there anything you feel needs to change at all in your either prep or just mental state or anything like that?
Nope, just keep attacking practice every day, being the same person in and outside of here. Just continue to work hard.

What does it mean that the coaching staff still has so much belief in your abilities?
That means a lot. I came here for a reason. We all know what I'm capable of, so I just got to go out there and show it.

The college life has its ebbs and flows. Have you sort of, because of your experience at Duke, do you think that's preparing you for what you're going through right now, and do you see a brighter future coming up Saturday?
The way I was raised, my mom and my dad prepared me for these moments, and I'm gonna continue to be me and attack the day.

What about your parents? Have you spoken to them? Or is this sort of a team thing you're going through right now with you guys? You think you can be better?
We can be better. I don't think we're going through anything. We already played two games. Still got 10 more to go. It's football. It happens all the time, but we ain't gonna change. We're just gonna continue to work hard and get better every day.

NC State plays La Tech. What do you know about them?
I know they're a good program. They run a similar defense to ours, so we should be good. We practice against our defense all fall camp, and it's got to be ready for them.

Are there any differences that they run, any schematic differences, maybe to what you've been going against in practice with your guys?
Yeah, it's not as exotic as Coach Gibsons’ defense.

And then, looking ahead, you guys, this schedule, a lot of people didn't really know. Now, with Northern Illinois, and then that's three games away, it's looking like this schedule's really gonna be a meat grinder. As a competitor, do you like that?
love it. I'm ready for it.
