R.J. Boyd‍ announced his commitment to NC State on June 23, becoming the Wolfpack’s first running back to join the 2025 recruiting class (Kentrell Rinehart‍ would follow, announcing his commitment to the Pack on July 5).

As a feature piece for Ware County (GA), Boyd enjoyed a productive junior campaign, rushing for 694 yards on 114 carries and finding the endzone 10 times. He also caught seven passes for 44 yards.
