NC State outfielder Chase Nixon has reportedly entered the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.

Nixon started 29 games this season, hitting .255 with three doubles and 14 RBIs.

No inside info, but could NCSU pick up another outfielder from the portal that might not be a good thing for his playing time, or he is thinking about his future, and moving to a lesser competitive conference, might increase his BA for his final year heading into the draft? No matter what his reason, good luck.

Let's hope Luke sticks around. Haven't heard anything about him following Chase but you never know.

Josh Hogue is coming back and he's gonna play LF if at all healthy.

Brayden Fraasman is coming in from the JUCO ranks and he's a good one just like Hogue was as well. He played RF for his junior college team.

We've got Dalen Thompson committed to transfer over from Campbell not to mention there's a stud OF committed to play here from FL though I'm sure he gets drafted high and signs. Both of those kids can play CF.

Jake Bechtel should be coming back and he's a young guy that could log some innings in the OF although he just got some burn as a DH this year.

Chase probably wants to play he last bit of eligibility and he's probably not gonna play here.

Doubt Luke goes anywhere. Hope things work out well for Chase. Needs to got get more opportunity than he could get at State.
