UNC Greensboro Pitcher Julien Peissel Announces NC State Commitment

NC State has landed a commitment from UNC Greensboro sophomore pitcher Julien Peissel.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder made 14 starts and appearances this season for the Spartans, finishing with a 4-2 record that included wins over NC State and Wake Forest.

He got the start and threw 98 pitches in the 18-3 win over NC State, allowing just two hits and three earned runs over 4.2 innings with four strikeouts.

Peissel was also the starter in the season opener at Wake Forest, where he allowed just one run over five innings in the 4-3 win.

Peissel pitched a total of 74.2 innings and led the Spartans with 64 strikeouts.  He held opponents to a .253 opponent batting average and was named second-team All-SoCon by the media and the coaches.

And so it begins. We need a few good portal additions and we need to hold on to our current players like Sosa, Butterworth, Nixon, Fritton, etc. SEC teams come after them offering NIL.
