Freshman Pitcher Chance Mako Will Transfer

NC State freshman pitcher Chance Mako, who is not with the team in Omaha, will transfer.

Mako was arguably the Pack’s top pitching pro prospect in the freshman class, but he was unable to carve out a role this year.  He made two relief appearances this season, yielding four earned runs.

This was expected given Mako is already playing summer ball and not with the team in Omaha.

He is the fourth NC State player to enter the transfer portal, joining pitchers Garrett Payne and Chris Zupito and shortstop Robert Nedry.
