“It was cool to be out there, see all my teammates.”
“It was good to be back with everyone. I did all the field drills and shuttles... it went really amazing.”
“I was in south Florida for two months and went to Indianapolis. I felt like I had a really good combine... it’s been real cool being back in Raleigh, training like I play football again. It’s been awesome.”
“I knew going in... fighting for LB1, first linebacker off the board. Everyone said I had an amazing day and felt I was the best movement linebacker there. Obviously the 40 speaks for itself.”
“Everybody wants me to play off-ball linebacker, MIKE or WILL. Teams think I can play both, it’s just a matter of what system I get in to... who else they have.”
‘Some of my best friends, Drake and Thayer Thomas, getting to the point they are at... following in their footsteps, went through the same training facility as them... credit to them, the leadership and inspiration they gave me.”
“I love football. The position drills are different than running a 40 and jumping a vert.”
“I’m willing to go until they want me to stop.”
“You can never predict where you’re going in the draft, but wherever you go is God’s plan.”
“My mom and dad were here today. They don’t miss anything. It’s been awesome.”
“I think every linebacker should try to be Luke Kuechly given he was the best to ever do it. Obviously his career was shortened due to injuries, but if he could have the longevity other linebackers had there’d be no question [one] of the best linebacker ever.”
“He’s an amazing person, a God-fearing person, and everything he does I strive to be.”
“I’ve talked with him about how he breaks down film.”
“To me, [Kuechly] is the best football player I’ve ever watched.”
“I have some Top 30 visits coming up... I have six of them but I’ll be in and out of town.”
“
