LOCKER ROOM REPORT: Wolfpack Players
NC State’s D.J. Horne, Jayden Taylor, Mohamed Diarra, Ben Middlebrooks, D.J. Burns, Jr., Michael O’Connell, and Casey Morsell met with the media following the 11th-seeded Wolfpack's 79-73 overtime win over 14-seed Oakland in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
Horne recorded 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal against the Grizzlies. Taylor scored eight points, pulled down three boards, dished out two assists, blocked one Oakland shot, and stole the basketball once. Diarra picked up his fourth double-double in the last five games with 13 rebounds and 11 points while also adding three blocks, two assists, and one steal. Middlebrooks reeled in eight rebounds while contributing two points in 14 minutes of court time. Burns led the way with 24 points on 9-for-12 shooting while joining Diarra in the double-double club with 11 rebounds; he also dished out four assists and blocked one shot. O’Connell led the team in assists with eight while scoring 12 points, rebounding two missed shots, and earning one steal. Morsell added 11 points, one assist, and one rebound.
