D.J. Horne

“We’re just trying to stay as connected as possible knowing our season isn’t over yet. We got to stay connected to go out there and make the most out of what we have left. That’s what we plan on doing.”

“I just think we had some breakdowns in the last seven or eight minutes of the game. I think we brought it pretty close and just had some breakdowns.”

“I think they definitely game-planned for me. I would run up and down the court multiple times and hear them saying, ‘Make sure you’re on Horne.’ I knew that was going to be something coming into the game and they did a good job at it. It’s also kind of a respect thing, too. They aren’t doing that for no reason.”

“In those moments I just try to do everything I can to not make as many mistakes as possible and try to get a ball to my teammates and still do whatever I can to help us win, put points on the board, and get stops, whatever the case may be.”

“There’s never a time where a team can’t get hot. We play at Pitt, which is a great opportunity, and then the sky's the limit in the [ACC] tournament. For us, we’re going to go in there full guns blazing and hopefully try to get an ACC Tournament Championship.”

D.J. Burns

“Defense, defense for sure. We had too many defensive mistakes. We limited them in the first half and we came out and didn’t do as good of a job in the second half and that’s when they blew it open.”

“I hate losing, so it’s always going to be frustrating, but we try to learn from it. It’s been frustrating a little bit at times.”

“I think that’s when you have to be at your best, so we have to find it before we get there. I think we will do a good job of that being led by coach.”

“Oh man, it’s technically my third senior day, so it feels good to finally be able to walk, that was kind of cool. Just to have one last game here, definitely meant a lot to me. It was awesome”

Casey Morsell

“We definitely wanted to be a part of something special. Hopefully we get things together.”

“It’s extremely frustrating because we’ve had so many games where it’s been like that. My mindset is that’s just part of our story. This team has a lot of potential for momentum. Heading into D.C., I think we’ll be in a good position. These low times are just going to be a part of our story, at the end of the day.”
