“Coach Gibby was actually kind of trolling me last season, saying he was going to move me to linebacker.  I kind of knew it was coming when the season was over.”

“I talked to coach Doeren and they felt like it was the best decision for me, and I talked to my family and they felt like it was the best decision for me too.”

“I had to gain some weight. Right now I’m about 215 so getting with Caden and Betty, doing linebacker drills, and just... learning my run fits.”

“During the offseason I learned [from Wilson’s film] what he did good and I hit him up about what’s the keys to being good... watching the film will allow me to excel at the position.”

“I feel like it’s easier to me being closer to the line of scrimmage, and I don’t have to do as much coverage as when I was at safety.”

“I’ve seen it on Twitter... I could be the next Germaine Pratt... I just want to be Sean Brown. I want to be my own guy, build my own legacy. That’s what I want to do.”

“[Payton Wilson] talked about at the WILL position you have to be quick on your feet and you have to make decisions then and there.  You can’t hesitate. Whatever you do, you do full speed.”

“At that position it’s really I have to do this or that. It’s kind of the same, but easier, so I didn’t really ask him about [coverage].”

“Zack [Myers] got a pick, I was very excited for him.  Brody and Terrente... they are asking me about the free safety spot, so I’m super excited to see how they do.”

“I knew it was one of my weaknesses, so when we’re in practice I’d harp on my coverage, whether it was man or zone. It was something I really focused on getting better at.”
