“Coming into high school I never really thought about NIL... that didn’t swing my decision about where I’m going.”
“That did cross my mind, but it’s never about the money. The big money is the NFL. Right here is a place I’ll get loved on and they are going to treat me right. It’s bigger than any price.”
“Grayson, we have a good relationship. He’s a great guy. I’ve learned a lot about him and he’s learned a lot about me. We’ve been talking, growing. I’m excited to see what this season has for me.”
“Me and Noah haven’t been on the same team since Pop Warner when we were in the sixth or seventh grade... it’s kind of surreal. I’m excited.”
“I’ve been super close to the Thomas family growing up. Coach Trevor has been like a father figure for me. He’s always been there whenever I’ve had questions... Drake and Thayer have always been there when I’ve had questions about State or college, [in] general, as a whole.”
“I would say the biggest thing is probably... Wake from the vibe is just different. It’s not in a bad way. Wake has a different vibe than what State has and they run things differently than what State does. I can’t really... I don’t know the exact words, but the vibe has been different.”
“It was really close. State was one of my top choices. If I didn’t go to Wake, State was one of the top choices I was considering.”
“It’s a full-circle moment. I’m now back in my hometown.”
“He’s been saying last year the offense didn’t produce the way... the expectations they wanted. So this offseason he’s been telling us to work hard so we can get to where we want to be next season.”
“I talked to KC... about how it went about him making all those plays. The coaches said if you make plays and work hard you’ll get the opportunities.”
