With NC State head Dave Doeren a frequent visitor to Cardinal Gibbons football games to watch his son Connor, it’s no surprise that the Wolfpack would be the first school to extend an offer to the Crusader’s all-state wide receiver, Aiden Smalls‍.

A class of 2026 prospect, Smalls (6-1, 175 pounds) had a breakout sophomore season- tallying 76 catches for 941 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also chipped in 23 carries for 118 yards and 10 additional scores while at running back.
