COMMIT ALERT: NC State Lands Huge Addition From Transfer Portal

NC State just landed a major addition from the transfer portal with former Auburn DB Donovan Kaufman‍  announcing on an Inside Pack Sports Zoom call that he’ll be a member of the Wolfpack for the 2024 season.

Kaufman will arrive at NC State as a grad student with one year of eligibility. He will help bolster a Wolfpack secondary that lost Jakeen Harris and Robert Kennedy in 2023 along with Devan Boykin recovering from an ACL injury for the 2024 season.

Kaufman has spent the last three years at Auburn after transferring in from Vanderbilt. Over the course of his career, Kaufman (5-10, 205 pounds) has totaled 109 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 6 forced fumbles, 4 pass breakups, and 2 sacks.

According to On3, Kaufman was the nation’s third best Safety that remained in the portal with a three-star rating.
