Opening Statement
We talked about getting off to a better start, and I thought there was some progress in that first 15 minutes or so. I thought we were sound and tough, and we made it difficult on them to get some shots. We talked about it after the game; whenever you're playing well, it’s easy. Your highs can be as high as you want, but when you’re struggling a little bit, you can’t let your lows be so low.
On the team’s inexperience...
Our inexperience certainly does show, and this is not a year in this league to be inexperienced. There are some good veteran teams, and you have to be ready, but we’ll keep working at it.
On Dennis Parker...
When he shoots the three-ball with his athleticism, that changes the game. He’s a dynamic young player.
On three-point defense...
I thought we got disconnected on some of our ball-screen defense, so we had two on the ball and they’re throwing the passes to the corner and knocking them down. It wasn’t just like they were drawing and kicking. It was more off of post-trap breakdowns or a ball-screen getting extended out too far.
