COMMIT ALERT: Duke Star Running Back Jordan Waters Will Transfer To NC State
Duke All-ACC running back Jordan Waters has announced his intentions to transfer to NC State.
Waters, a 6-0, 219-pound graduate from Fairmont, N.C., appeared in all 12 games this season, registering a team-high 142 rushes for 773 yards with 12 touchdowns. His rushing touchdowns were fourth in the ACC and tied for fifth all-time with two others for most in a single season in program history.
Waters registered at least one rushing score in eight of the Blue Devils' 12 contests, including opening the season with scores in six-straight contests.
He is averaging 5.3 rushing yards per carry and 62.75 rushing yards per game, which ranks sixth and 10th in the ACC, respectively.
Waters has registered 500-plus rushing yards in back-to-back season after accumulating 556 a year ago.
He was pursued by several schools through the transfer process, including North Carolina, Oklahoma, and USC, among others, before picking NC State.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining and could be a three-down contributor for the Wolfpack.
