COMMIT ALERT: Wake Transfer WR Wesley Grimes Picks NC State
NC State just landed a huge commitment from Wake Forest transfer WR Wesley Grimes. He announced his decision on a Zoom Call with Inside Pack Sports.
Grimes was a key target for the Wolfpack in 2022 coming out of Millbrook High School. Ranked a composite four star prospect, Grimes amassed 87 receptions for 1,594 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior -- the third best single season total in North Carolina history.
During his freshman season at Wake Forest, Grimes had four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown while playing in seven games. This past season he totaled 20 catches for 339 yards and four touchdowns. He will arrive at NC State as a junior.
Exiting high school Grimes chose the Deacs over offers from NC State, Louisville, Duke, Tennessee, Kentucky, UNC, and West Virginia, among others.
