RELEASE: Armstrong Named ACC Co-Quarterback Of The Week
RALEIGH, N.C. - Quarterback Brennan Armstrong picked up his first ACC weekly award with the Wolfpack after being named the ACC Co-Quarterback of the week after his performance this past weekend, the league announced Monday.
Armstrong led the Wolfpack to its fourth straight win and second straight on the road with a 35-28 victory at Virginia Tech. The quarterback tallied 292 of total offense versus the Hokies - 89 rushing and 203 passing – and ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw two more scores.
The most prolific left-handed QB in ACC history, he boasts 10,319 passing yards (UVA and NC State). That mark ranks eighth in FBS history. His .843 completion percentage vs. VMI was the most by a Wolfpack QB since 2015 (Jacoby Brissett, 84% vs. Troy).
Armstrong had been getting it done on the ground and the air as he enters the last week of the regular season as the Wolfpack's leading rusher with 522 yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns, averaging nearly five yards per carry.
Armstrong will now look to lead the Wolfpack to its ninth win of the season and fourth straight win as they get set to take on in-state rival North Carolina at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25th from Carter-Finley Stadium, with the game being broadcast on the ACC Network.
