On defensive pressure...

Yeah, that's a key to sustaining. We’ve got like eight new guys, nothing’s going to change as far as that, so we’ve got to get with the program and we showcased that pretty well tonight. I think that’s going to continue to be our identity as we move forward.”

On finding rhythm...

Yeah, once I saw that first one go in as a shooter, the basket kind of gets wider and wider with each shot. I think that’s a little bit of what it was.

On playing collectively...

Yeah, I think it’s the way we scouted them. We got off to a slow start in the scouting aspect. Once we picked it up, we just took it and ran with it, there was no stopping us after that.

On PNC Arena and fan energy...

They always show love, but I don’t know what it was, it just felt electric tonight, even though it wasn’t as packed as usual, it really felt electric tonight. The love they show out here is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before, it’s amazing.

On Parker...

I told y’all, my freshman is coming, it’s only going to get worse.

On playing Vanderbilt in Vegas...

Scout them up and prepare for them the same we would for any team. We’re going to take tomorrow, get some rest, and get right back to practicing. We treat our practices like games, so we’ll get after it this next week.

On being double teamed...

It used to be frustrating, but now it’s more expected. Honestly, we’re burning it if you don’t, so kind of what I expect at this point. That’s what we work really hard to make sure we don’t get stopped by it.

On having fun while playing...

When I stop having fun, I won’t be wearing these [points to jersey] anymore.

On adjusting to playing at the collegiate level...

I’m adjusting to the pace, I’m getting into shape, things of that nature. I feel like everything is just working for the team. We’re getting better everyday in practice, just gotta win the games.

On having four steals in the first 13 mins of the game...

One thing about me, I always love defense. That’s always been one of my things, if I can’t get it in on offense, I can make myself impactful on the defensive side of the floor. I like to chase down the blocked shots, I like to guard, it really doesn’t matter. I love defense at the end of the day. Defense can lead to a rebound, to an assist, and then to an open shot.
