Jayden Taylor

“I feel good. My teammates found me. My shot felt good. We just wanted to come out today, have a lot of energy, and just control what we could control. The ball was falling for us. It felt good.”

“It’s the second game of the season. This is just the beginning, to be honest. Every day, we come in, practice, and get to know each other more. It’s only going to grow. It’s only going to get better. This is just the intro. Trust me.”

“They give me the confidence to be ultra aggressive from the jump, from beginning to end. Even if my shot’s not falling, I keep going. They know I can shoot. I know I can shoot, too. That doesn’t really affect me.”

“We’re not Oklahoma State. We’re NC State. It was a good win for them, but that’s not us though."

D.J. Burns, Jr.

“That’s what we’ve been working on: staying ready for the moment. I feel like that’s what I’ve been doing so far.”

“I talked to them this week, and I was like, ‘Look, when I’m driving or when they’re double-teaming me, this is where you’re going to be to get your shots up. I just need you to be there and be ready.’”

“When you play yourselves over and over again, you can get your moves down, and you can know what your team’s going to do. When you play with other people, you know you have to move a little differently. I think we’re getting the chemistry down.”

“We’re 2-0. We’re always excited to get wins, but I wouldn’t say we’re satisfied, by any means."

Casey Morsell

“It all started on the defensive end. J.T. did a good job with the pressure up front, and the back line did a great job of finishing possessions. If we can be consistent on that end, then we have a lot of potential.”

“It all starts with chemistry. We know the spots where everyone wants to shoot. Everybody has different preferences on how they can affect the game. Now that we’re trying to build that chemistry, we’ve just got to keep on building on it, work at it everyday, and continue to grow.”

“You’ve just got to affect the game in different areas. I feel like the [three-point] shot has been up and down lately, so I’ve got to be versatile. That’s pretty much what it was tonight: trying to be a threat in every aspect of the game.”
