Caden Noonkester: "I Try Not To Feel Pressure"

NC State punter Caden Noonkester met with the media to discuss his play in 2023, Saturday's matchup against Wake Forest, and much more.

“More professional... my mom was happy about it, my dad was happy about it. I wanted a change-up. I had it since I was 16. It’s on my driver’s license. I wanted something a little different.”

“It has gone by fast.  The days are long, but the season is fast.  The season has gone by quickly, but the practices are long... I’m a 180 from where I was last year.”

“Don’t get too high, don’t get too low.  When you have a great game... don’t get too high on it.”

“I’m trying to stay even-headed.”

“I wear the defensive jersey, so I know a lot of those guys on the defensive side claim me.”

“I do appreciate them when they bail me out of trouble... [if] I don’t get the best punt off and it’s a little low.”

“I try not to feel pressure...I don’t try to be the next AJ Cole or the next Trenton Gill, but the next me.”

“I don’t try to chase other people’s names or stats... just do the best I can do.”
