Devan Boykin: "We Enjoy The Physicality"

NC State safety Devan Boykin recently met with the media to discuss his play this season and the upcoming matchup against Miami.

“We’re just trying to recover the best we can, preparing for this week.  Personally I feel good, going into this week.”

“Their run game is the most impressive thing to me, their backs... ability to make plays, get downhill.”

“We enjoy the physicality of it... learning behind guys like Tanner, just being physical... being the players coach Defo wants us. Being able to do whatever the team asks, being in the box and making plays.”

“I’m extremely proud of [Sean Brown]. Where he came from, the last couple of years, not playing as much, but this year getting his opportunity and being able to convert, make plays for us on the field.”

“Being able to react... being slow in the post and noticing that I have run action that our linebackers will be on and seeing the ball being thrown... follow the ball and go make a play.”

“Knowing they are both some of the best teams in the ACC right now... having the confidence to know we’re able to pull out games like that and be able to stop the run game.”

“I’m trying to be the best teammate I can be... just give a little reminder... things like that, it always helps.”
