LOCKER ROOM REPORT: Wolfpack Players

Several NC State players met with the media via Zoom following the Wolfpack's 24-17 home win over Clemson.

Wide Receiver Kevin Concepcion

“He started in press coverage and backed off. I looked inside and didn’t see anyone inside of me so I felt like I had to make one miss.”

“I’m just here to do what the team needs me to do.

“It’s constant back-to-back reps... the extra time in the film room, the extra treatment... stuff like that.”

“It means everything that I can come in here as a freshman and contribute to a winning team.”

“I feel like it brought us together as a team.  It just made us stronger as a whole.”

Linebacker Jaylon Scott

“We just really came out with the mindset to execute.”

“We were just managing to execute flawlessly. No one is going to play perfect, but I do believe the execution part was our main focus.”

“I was just looking forward to coming out and playing ball with my brothers.”

“We wanted to play for and with each other.”

“I’m very excited for him. I know he appreciates us a lot, that he’s surrounded with a group of fighters and a group that’s not going to quit.”

“Being players, it’s something that comes with the game, especially when you’re not having the success you want.”

“This game we just put our head down and we worked.  Coming out of the bye week we had something to prove and we showed it today.”

“It’s always a next man up mentality. Even though we might be down a couple of players and might miss them, we just need to go out there and play.”
