“The experience wasn’t the best, I didn’t want to be on the scout team, but I feel like that was the best way I could help the team at the moment.”

“When coach Doeren told me I was going to be on the scout team I was a little frustrated, but I realized I had to keep my head down and keep working.”

“It was exciting, but even when I was on the scout team I was going hard, working my tail off to prepare for the opportunity.”

“When the opportunity came I feel like I took advantage of it.”

“We took a lot of time to reflect on the Duke game and attack some things that we thought were our weaknesses.”

“We’re just ready to get after them boys at Clemson.”

“It’s the connectivity that we have... continue to love each other through hard times and even in good times... when someone makes a bad play don’t beat them up, uplift them and bring them with you.”

“I think it would boost the confidence a lot, but it’s like any other team from the ACC. We’re fixing to go out there and make plays. We’re not treating it like they are some big time school that is going to come in here and try to wash us.  We feel like we’re going to come out here and do those boys bad.”

“I feel like that was a super big win for the program. It gave a lot of the guys motivation and confidence that we can go out there and make those plays.”

“We’re trying to go out there and really dominate.”

“My junior year I was a punter, strictly punter. Towards the end of the season I got a little reps but no real targets... that offseason after my junior year I put my head down and worked. My senior year I was given a shot to play receiver and I went crazy... I only had one year of high school receiver before I came to NC State.”

“I use that as motivation and a way to build my confidence back up when it’s a little off.”

“Whatever the coaches need me to do, whether it’s going down there and block somebody, special teams or receiver, whatever they need me to do.”
