Sean Brown: "It Really Starts With Us"

NC State safety Sean Brown met with the media ahead of the Wolfpack's ACC opener versus Virginia.

“It hasn’t really felt hectic, we just have to adjust to it. We play ball; we have to keep playing ball and adjust accordingly.”

“Coach is really harping on communication in practice. They’ve really been on our tails about communicating and calling out what we see. Even if it’s one little detail, we’re calling it out.”

“Every little detail, even if it’s a motion or QB tell... we’re still communicating on defense.”

“They have some talented backs and talented receivers. I’m going to give them credit when credit is due, but it really starts with us and my team. We still have to communicate and do all we need to do to be successful.”

“If everyone is not on one page, it’s not good for the defense, but if everyone is on the same page, we’ll be very successful.”

“I’m thankful in my team believing in me.”

“I just go out there and do what I do.”

“I felt very confident out there. Practice is where it all starts, so if I’m very confident in practice when I go out there in the game it makes it easier.”

“It all starts with watching more film. The defensive backs, we try to get together and watch film together.”
