NC State Checks In At No. 23 In Final AP Poll

Dave Doeren's NC State Wolfpack checked in at No. 23 in the final Associated Press Poll that was released following the NCAA title game.

The Wolfpack ended the season 9-4 overall after the 52-31 win over Arizona State in the 2017 Hyundai Sun Bowl.  NC State also won six ACC games for the first time since the 1994 season.

NC State was one of four ACC teams to finish ranked in the Top 25, joining Clemson (No. 4), Miami (No. 13), and Virginia Tech (No. 24).

This is the first time NC State finished the year ranked in the AP Top 25 since 2010.

Nice season. We have the personnel to be top 25 again in 2018. While Beamer results may not be achievable in the current ACC, we should be able to achieve Ferentz (like) results or slightly better.

would like to see us start next season ranked too. But regardless, this season exceeded my expectations, so I'm relatively happy.

2018 is setting up to be successful. 8-4 floor, 10-2 ceiling. Lots of talented/experienced seniors and juniors next year. I'm a little concerned that 2019 will be a down year.
