COMMIT ALERT: Top OL Robby Martin Picks NC State

NC State just landed a commitment from Huntington (WV) 2024 offensive lineman Robby Martin‍, arguably the No. 1 player in West Virginia.

Martin previously cut his list down to four schools: NC State, West Virginia, Penn State, and Maryland.  He officially visited NC State back in June.

“I liked NC State a lot,” Martin said at the time. “I was glad to be there with coach Tujague and coach Doeren. They really welcomed me there and it was a great visit. I felt the love from both of them and I had a great recruiter with me -- Obi Obasuyi. Obi was just a great guy. He was a great host. He stayed with me the whole time and he treated me really well. I feel like I fit in with him.

“State has stayed on me the whole recruiting process. They’ve recruited me really, really hard. Even though I’m not an in-state player they’ve recruited me like I played in this state.”

The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder is NC State’s second offensive line commitment in the 2024 class, joining Gastonia (NC) Ashbrook tackle Trent Mitchell‍.
