NC State star linebacker Payton Wilson touched on a variety of topics with the print media at the 2023 ACC Football Kickoff. Here is additional video from his sit-down interview.

“It’s awesome. I’m glad I made the decision I made.”

“I have to step up... getting out of my comfort zone.”

“I want to reach those goals.”

“Just growing up the way I did... over the last few years I’ve understood the importance of rehab.”

“It’s a completely different world... coach Anae... he’s one of the most creative offensive coordinators I’ve ever seen.  Going against that all spring... I probably have a bald spot back here from it. It was tough.”

“We’re NC State.  No one is ever going to give us the crown... I think coach Doeren and those guys do a good job of letting it known that none of that matters.”

“Whether it’s good or bad, we throw it out the window.”

“He’s definitely a defensive-minded guy, but when you have someone like coach Anae... we had the best defense in the ACC last year and coach Anae torched us.”
