COMMIT ALERT: DL Justin Terrell Picks NC State

Rome (GA) DL Justin Terrell‍ (6-3, 285 pounds) has been a major priority for NC State over the last several months and he just announced his commitment to the Wolfpack.

Terrell originally committed to Wake Forest but shortly after backing off that pledge, NC State offered and he quickly flew up the Pack’s recruiting board. Virginia, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, and Indiana followed suit.  In the end, though, it was NC State and UNC who emerged as the teams to beat for his commitment after making official visits to both schools.

Terrell talked about the two schools and their heated rivalry in an earlier interview.

"I could feel it already on my visits,” he added.  “I went to UNC the week before and they were like, ‘We hear you're going to NC State next week... you know they are going to try and get you.’  Then when I was at NC State they were telling me how they’d beat them for so many years and how if I went there I’d always lose to them.  The players were really talking about it.  The rivalry is a big deal to them."
