I love how most of the SEC teams' stadiums have fans sitting almost on field level. I seriously wonder how much that would add to Doak...simply to add 4-5 rows down from the current stands right down to field level? I think it would add about 4-500 seats, which could be made premium. Having fans right down on the field seems to really add to the atmosphere in the SEC parks.

There may not be sufficient room to do this and keep the fence where it is, but extend where you can and go up in other areas if necessary. I think it would create something special and unique

The field level seating at South Carolina was great. I spent a lot of time roaming around the stadium while taking pictures from different parts of the stadium, so I got a really good feel for the different angles and views. I am used to being close to the action, since I photograph often from the dugout, but being field level down the baselines made it feel like I was a part of the game. I also liked the viewing areas above the bullpens. The South Carolina stadium was very nice. I had seen it from outside, but it was my first time seeing games from the stadium.

I do think it is difficult to impossible for Doak to be configured this way, due to the limitations on the current stadium design.

Were you there Friday? I wondered if you were around snapping photos but I couldn't get a good look at the badges most of the time and I didn't want to bother anyone while they were working as well. I was sitting beside the dugout.

Yes. I was at all three games this weekend taking pictures. On Friday, I spent a fair amount of time taking pictures from the photo well beside the Campbell dugout (stood beside the ESPN camera), but also moved around the concourse for some pictures. For the SC game, I was moving around a bit, but spent several innings behind the batters box on the right hand side at field level. On Sunday, I moved around a lot.

I wish I had gotten to meet you. I enjoy meeting other posters on IPS and putting a face to name.

True. With enough time and money, most things are possible. State has the time, but the money might be difficult.
