COMMIT ALERT: NC State Lands Transfer Shooter Katie Peneueta

Sacramento State standout guard/forward Katie Peneueta has committed to NC State after officially visiting the Wolfpack this week.

A two-year starter for Sacramento State, Peneueta had a strong sophomore season as she averaged 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 46.5% from the field. Her strength is the three-point shot, as she is shooting 46% from three on 276 career attempts.  

The 6-foot-2 standout also posted nearly a 2:1 assist/turnover ratio while totaling 42 blocks and 21 steals defensively.

Peneueta is expected to serve as a stretch forward for NC State with the Wolfpack losing Jada Boyd in the offseason.
