COMMIT ALERT: Georgia RB Jayden Scott Commits To NC State
NC State offered Atlanta (GA) Stockbridge RB Jayden Scott (5-10, 210 pounds) last January and almost immediately he vaulted to the top of the Wolfpack’s running back board. Scott visited the Pack for the first time shortly after that offer and then returned to check out a spring practice and get a more in-depth look at what State had to offer during a March trip. That visit set the stage for Scott to announce his commitment just minutes ago to the Wolfpack.
“What really made me make my decision, they came in January and I went up. As soon as I went up they showed a lot of love. They made me feel like home. They made me feel like it was family up there. So, that was a big part of my process.
“They have a great academic team. I think they have my major like 25th in the nation so that was a big part of it. Coach Goebbel, Coach Doeren, all those guys helped me just build relationships and that was just the main thing.”
In recent weeks Scott had narrowed his focus down to NC State, Wake Forest, and Rutgers from among an offer list that also included Cal, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Kansas State, Maryland, Kansas, Indiana, and South Carolina, among others.
A consensus three-star prospect, in just five games of action in 2022 Scott rushed for 542 yards and 10 touchdowns as Stockbridge finished the season with a 10-3 record.
