“It was tougher. We’ve been pretty lucky with spring ball not having any kind of weather.”
“Weather is something you have to deal with as a quarterback and obviously I’d like to have those two overthrown balls away... weather was a factor, but I have to do a better job of taking care of the ball.”
“It tells who I’m working with chemistry-wise because in a game chemistry shows up. It kind of gives you a gauge of who I’m really working well with and who I’m not... summer is going to be a huge part of that.”
“It’s going to be crucial for us to now get in there and really work on the smaller things.”
“It was good. I enjoyed getting back in this offense and playing at a new place, meeting new guys. It was a good refresher, I enjoyed it.”
“I’ve been away from home for five years now... being here is not really different than at Virginia. It’s just a new setting with new teammates and new coaches. They made me feel welcomed. It didn’t take long to get settled in.”
“Just keeping a routine for when guys get here and knowing what to expect.”
“I think that’s what spring ball is for... Anae does a really good job with personneling in guys who are really good at certain things.”
“From here we can continue to work on those things, those strengths.”
“They are all on me. They are all on me. You don’t have to blame them on anyone else. One was to the back and I saw an option route, I thought he’d settle it down but he wasn’t... that’s on me, I have to make sure the ball is protected. On the second one I think I just hung on to the ball too long.”
“I’m very happy with where we’re at. It comes down to the willingness of the guys.”
“There’s going to be some ups and downs in practice because we’re playing against a good defense, definitely one of the best in the ACC... I think it’s going to make us better.”
“It helps us in the long run.”
“I wish we had some good weather so the stands could be a little more packed... I’m just excited. Our next home game will be against Notre Dame.”
